It was an amazing experience to watch Virat Kohli bat and get to his 31st ODI hundred. Now he has the most number of runs after 200 ODIs, so there's another one for Hashim Amla to break! Virat won the toss and surprisingly chose to bat first maybe thinking that the wicket might get slower. Kohli with the help of middle order and lower middle order put India in a respectable position but it was a left arm seamer again who caused problems as Trent Boult ran through the Indian top order. Rohit Sharma is not being able to find any other way to get out to left arm seamers than to the ball swinging in. Santner kept it very tight in the middle which helped seamers in the death overs. New Zealand's batting looked a bit shaky till the fall of Martin Guptill's wicket. Once Tom Latham and Ross Taylor got in, they took control of the game and kept controlling it till the very end.
